This Privacy Policy explains how GITCO GAS ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the GITCO GAS mobile application, this website, and related services. By using the app or our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, phone number, delivery address, and an optional profile photo if you choose to upload one. Order information: order history, items purchased, delivery details, and payments made. Location data: for customers, your delivery location — used to deliver orders and show live rider tracking. For delivery riders, precise location during working hours, including in the background while a delivery is in progress, so orders can be dispatched and tracked. Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and push notification tokens. Communications: messages, ratings, and feedback you submit through the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: • Create and manage your account • Process, dispatch, and deliver your orders • Show live tracking of deliveries • Send order status updates and service notifications • Provide customer support • Prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse of the platform • Comply with legal obligations
4. Location Data
Location permission is used only to provide the delivery service: • Customer app: location is used to set your delivery address accurately and display rider tracking. It is not collected in the background. • Rider app mode: location is shared with our dispatch system while the rider is on duty, including in the background during active deliveries, so customers can track their orders and new orders can be assigned. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings, though some features may stop working.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only: • With delivery riders: your name, delivery address, and phone number, so they can complete your delivery • With service providers: such as Google Firebase (push notifications) and our hosting providers, who process data on our behalf • For legal reasons: where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is removed or anonymized, except where we must retain records (such as invoices and tax records) to meet legal obligations.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated access to our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights & Choices
You can: • View and update your profile information in the app • Control app permissions (location, notifications) in your device settings • Delete your account and associated data (see below) • Contact us with any privacy questions or requests
9. Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your GITCO GAS account and associated personal data at any time: • In the app: Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account • Or contact us by phone or WhatsApp (details in the Contact section of this website) and request deletion — we will process the request and confirm once complete. Once processed, your personal data will be deleted or anonymized as described in Section 6.
10. Children
Our services involve the supply of LPG gas and are not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available in the app and on this website. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
